After Christmas Fun

After Christmas Ashley came with her new baby Liam. He is so sweet and so tiny! I love having a baby around to hug and kiss on. It is alway's nice to stay after the craziness of the holiday's are over so we can relax and enjoy time with family. We played games and rocked out on Beatles Rock Band almost every night. I wish I had pictures of that! We walked in the dome, visited cousins, went out to eat and spent way to much time at Short Stop. I just love every second we get to spend in Eagar with family. I never want to leave but somehow we alway's manage to make is back home.
Best present ever!

Ashley and Liam.

I love how much he loves his mom right from the start!

Saydie put stickers on Joelle's prego belly.

My dad took us to see my grandpa's headstone. It is very nice and shiny. It took my grandma a while to pick it out and the one she picked had to be shipped from another country. She only wanted to best for her sweetheart! I think that is just so sweet. I really do miss having Grandpa Brown around but have such great memories of him and am looking forward to the day when we can see him again!

Christmas with the Udall's

After opening gifts with the Brown's we headed over to the Udall's house. It was quite the houseful. Jared and Nicole and their 5 children and Niki and Carson and their baby came for Christmas. It was so much fun having the entire family home for Christmas! It has been a long time since we have all been together and I think everyone had a really good time. The kids loved having their cousins around to hang out with and they all played so well together. Here are a few pictures I took of the craziness of that day.

Of course we have to do a silly picture

Cole, Bridgette, Kai, Chesley, Thatcher, Dane, Saydie, Victoria, Emery and Brighton

Niki and Carson showed up at 4:00 in the morning so everyone was really tired. Bonnie was snoozing with Brighton.

Christmas 2009

We had Christmas with the Brown's this year. We had a wonderful Christmas and had so much fun with the kids getting older and seeing how much they enjoy the traditions and time spent with family. On Christmas Eve Grandpa Brown always read the Christmas story out of the scriptures and then The Night Before Christmas book which if very entertaining. He has his only little twist he throws in at certain parts of the book that make us laugh. After we read we load everyone up in the car and drive around to look at Christmas lights. Then we go back home and have some sparkling cider or eggnog in the fancy glasses, set out stocking and head off to bed. Luckily the kids slept in til about 6:30 Christmas morning, as far as we know anyway.

Grandpa reading the Night Before Christmas.

Grandma playing Christmas songs while we sang.

The girls got a Karaoke machine for Christmas. Saydie wants to be a rock star so we thought it was appropriate.

Chesley wanted the 5th Percy Jackson book so bad. I had him convinced I hadn't gotten it so when he opened it he screamed with joy, ran over and gave me the biggest hug ever!

Looking lovely on Christmas morning.

Grandma and Grandpa wearing their Christmas gifts.

Taylor posing with all of her Christmas gifts on her.

Saydie wasn't feeling well so she was all comfy in Grandpas new chair.

While everyone was opening gifts Thatcher was in the kitchen eating the orange out of his stocking. He had all the orange peals lined up on the counter.

Dance Recital

Emery and Saydie has a dance recital just before Christmas. Emery has been doing ballet for 2 1/2 year now and this was Saydie's first time and she was so excited. They were so adorable at their recital and we are alway's entertained by the cute little performances. My mom alway's helps me out when it comes time to make their dance costumes because sewing is not my strength to say the least. These tutu's were a lot of work. It took her a couple of day's to get them done but they looked adorable on the girls and the best out of everyone else's. I guess it is nice to have a mother who is so fantastic and sewing! I told the girls to do ballet poses for the pictures and this is what I got.....

Keeping busy before the recital starts.

Thanksgiving 2009

The Udall's have started a tradition. For the past 3 years we have gone to Niki and Carson's house for Thanksgiving. It is just our family, Steve, Bonnie, Niki, Carson and sweet little Brighton. It is nice because there aren't too many of us so we just hang out, eat lots of good food, and plan our shopping for black Friday! This year was extra fun because Niki had her baby a week before Thanksgiving so it was so much fun loving on him. It has been a while since we have had a baby around on the Udall side. It is also fun seeing Niki as a mom. She is such a natural. She makes first time motherhood look easy!
Friday morning Bonnie and I woke up early and ventured out into the craziest of crazy's on black Friday. We had a good time and actually ended up getting everything we wanted and more. After we were done shopping we got some breakfast and then headed home for a nap. It was a fun time and I am glad Bonnie is brave enough to face the madness with me.
This is after we ate, can you tell? Everyone looks miserable!

Carson was laying on the couch with the baby and Thatcher went over and layed down as well and propped his feet up just like Uncle Carson.
